Break In?

I am home alone this week while Steve is in Cincinnati for work. I have always been super scared to stay by myself, but the past 2 times I have been a "big girl" about it, and wasn't too scared to where I would lay awake all night.

I think someone may have tried to break in last night. The screen is pulled out of the screen holder. Either someone pulled it out, or it decided it needed to come apart.

We always have the alarm on, have two big scary (but nice) dogs, and a gun. And since Colorado has the "Make My Day" law, we have already agreed we would shoot someone if they came into our house. I decided to hang this up on the window in case the person decides to come back.

Two New Additions to the Family

We don't have names for these little guys yet, but they are Black and White Clown Fish. They still have a little orange on their faces, but this will eventually become black too. They are living in their very own 10 gallon tank we set up yesterday. We are hoping to breed them to sell to fish stores. We had to drive an hour just to get these. They are in that flower pot because supposedly it will be like there little home and they will want to lay eggs in there. The female (always the bigger of the two) is supposed to always chase the male (always the little one) out of the pot, and one day, let him in to breed. Our female instantly took over the flower pot, and is chasing him out already!

This is a temporary location for the tank on our kitchen table. Steve will be busy making a stand in the next few weeks!

Everybody Else is Doing It!

Since everybody else is showing off their loom knitting masterpieces, I thought I would show what I have crocheted so far. This is all by hand, no cheating with a loom!
First I made a scarf. When I originally made it, it turned out too short and fat, so I took it all out and did it again. The second time I made it skinny and very long. I hate when scarves are too short and you can't wrap yourself in them quite enough.

So I made it 4 inches by 9 feet :)
My next project was a huge blanket for Steven. He picked out the yarn and everything! He wanted it to be 6 feet by 8 feet, but unfortunately, I didn't know about gauging before I started. It will end up being 5 feet by 8 feet. I guess I will have to make him another one sometime! Currently, it is only 5 feet by 2 feet! I worked on it nightly for 2 weeks, then took a 2 week break to read some library books that were due soon! I think I did a pretty good job for teaching myself with a book!
