Home Alone

I usually have a million things I want to do, even if they are small things like organize a cabinet or read a book. But since I am home alone today, I don't know what to do with myself! I am usually content sitting reading a book for hours, but not today! I read two chapters, and just couldn't sit still anymore!

Steven and Brittannie left this morning at 8:00 am to climb Longs Peak. I slept until about 10:15, then was excited to do a bunch of stuff today. I couldn't think of a thing to do! I took a shower, read two chapters of a book, made a few candles, and paced around the house looking for something to do!

I did meet up with Aunt Laura for a little bit in the afternoon. She was in Denver for a layover. We took Tinkerbell and Lilliann to Greenway Park Dog Park. We were probably there two hours, but I wasn't keeping track. It was pretty hot out, so there weren't too many dogs. Maybe 20, whereas there is normally about 100. There was a 1.5 year old boxer there named Bella, and a 6 month old named Lola. We are never the only boxers there when we go! Afterwards we had dinner on the patio of Panera since we could have the dogs there too.

Now I am home alone again, and don't know what to do! I think I may straighten up the garage a little bit, but that won't take the rest of my night. Maybe I can give reading my book another try. Plus there is always studying for my certification exam, aahh! Tomorrow and Monday I am laying by the pool!

We ARE alive!

I just wanted to do a quick post to let you all know we have not fallen off the face of the earth! There just isn't really much going on here to tell you all about!

I have started to study for my certification exam, so that takes up a whole lot of my time. Today was actually my 1 year anniversary at CGL, so I can technically sign up to take my exam now. I think I will put in a little more studying time, then fill out the application. So some time before the year is over, I should be sitting for my exam.

Steve has been training for his marathon, so that takes up his time. He got caught out in a really bad thunderstorm on his long Sunday run (14 miles this week) and I had to send out a search party to find him. I had looked myself for half an hour (drove the route he was running, through all the hotels and restaurants to look under awnings) and didn't see him. So I called our friends Ben and Megan to see what I should do. They volunteered to drive around too, and luckily found him hiding in a car wash. He had seen me drive by a little earlier, but didn't realize it was me until it was too late! At least we found him!

If anything exciting happens, I will be sure to post!
