New Addition

We got a new addition for our saltwater fish tank today. She is a Mandarin Goby. I call everything else in the tank "he" because I am unsure of the sex, but I know this one is a girl, because the boys have a spiky fin thing that the girls don't have. Her name is Doby. Hopefully she will do well in our tank. These fish only eat live food, so they will not eat the flakes, pellets, or frozen food that most other fish will eat. She only eats tiny creatures that live on the rock. So hopefully, our rock has lots of little creatures.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Steve and I had our own little feast of turkey, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, rolls, and pie. MMM! Our turkey was close to perfect! Steve was a clean-platter for once. He even said "That was the most food I ever ate since I was born!" Which was pretty funny!

12 Hours of Overtime

At work we have mandatory overtime yet AGAIN! From November 2nd to the 18th we have to do 12 hours. This time, they are letting us take our microscopes home over the weekend so we don't have to come into work. Of course I had to take a picture, being the science nerd that I am :)

World Series

This post is a week late, but here it is!

Steve's Uncle David works for Tops, the baseball card company. He called us Friday night and said he had two VIP MLB World Series tickets with our name on them if we were not busy. What could you be busy with that you wouldn't drop to go to the World Series for free?!?! We were very excited! I don't even like baseball, and I thought I was going to throw up when he told us. It is one of those one in a lifetime things that you just have to do if it falls in your lap!

The next day we had to go to Walmart and buy Rockies shirts because we didn't even have any. I really like mine, but Steve isn't too happy with his. We met Uncle David about 2 hours before the game and got to talk to him for a little bit until his baseball card clients came to meet him for the game. There were SO many people outside the stadium looking for tickets. I wanted someone to offer me money for mine, just to see how much they were actually going for, but no one did. We got a free Rocktober towel to wave around when we walked in. We bought some nachos and a pop, and had brought a bag of peanuts with us from the last Rockies game we went to.

The Rockies ended up not winning, but we had a blast anyway. The whole stadium was cheering like crazy the whole game. I was even cheering, and I am usually too shy to cheer. It was the World Series though! Gotta make it fun while you are there :) By the 8th inning my throat was killing me. I really wanted some hot chocolate, but the hot chocolate guy never came back after the 2nd inning. It was definitely the best sporting event I have ever been too. The atmosphere was great with everyone so excited. Thank you Uncle David!!!!!
