Graduation

Tinkerbell graduated from puppy class tonight! Unfortunately for her, we are making her do it again! With Lilliann this time. Tinkerbell is good in class, but forgets it all when Lilliann is around because they just play. So we thought taking them to class together might help with that. Lilliann needs it really bad anyway! There are more pictures of the graduation on our pictures page.

Christmas Time!

We got our very first Christmas tree last night! We were anxious to get one, so we went last night around 7:00 to a little tree stand across the street from our grocery store. We brought it home and started to decorate, but had to finish today. Last night we did the star, skirt, lights, and bows. Today we did the bulbs. We had to arrange the living room really dumb, so those of you that are coming for Christmas, beware!

On Thursday, we had Thanksgiving dinner with 3 other people from church, and that was really nice. Friday Steve went snowboarding. Saturday I went to a crochet party with some girls at church (too hard for me!). Tomorrow we are going to church, and hopefully the grocery store! We also have to find a way to hang up our Christmas stockings. Other than that, we are just having a relaxing Thanksgiving holiday!

Before I do the weekend update. I have to comment on these hilarious pictures of Steven. We got these sour ice breakers candy, and I was reading on the back and it said "Caution: sour may cause irritation to the mouth." Steve said no way, he could eat the whole container (53 candies) at one time, because they were not that sour. So I dared him to eat them all at one time. The first picture is the "hey look at me, I can eat them all!" Then he was about 5 minutes into it, he had to spit them all out on his plate, which picture number 2. Then he thought he was going to throw up, and couldn't feel the inside of his cheeks (the irritation!) and that is his sick face on picture three. Boy was it funny!

Now for the weekend! Friday after work Steve went out to dinner and a movie with the guys from church. The movie they were going to see ended up being really late, and he didn't get home until 1:30!

Saturday I had a Ladies Brunch with the church girls. There was a lady there to teach us how to make "4 meals in 4 minutes". But really it was a 4 minute preparation per meal, plus all day cooking in a crock pot. She was selling little packages of spices. So you just mixed the spices, meat, and a can of soup in a crock pot. Kind of dumb! While I was there, Steve took Tinkerbell for the rest of her puppy shots. Now she doesn't have to go back until next November. I got home just in time to change into my Ohio State jersey and watch the game with Steven. I might have slept through some of it... After the game we went to Target and Walmart to get our very first Christmas decorations. YAY! I am so excited for it.

Sunday we got up and went to church. We came home and had lunch then watched the NASCAR race. I have to leave in about 15 minutes to pick up Megan for her Bridal Shower. I offered to drive her since she just has a car, and I have an SUV we can pack full of presents!

I had my first abnormal case at work this week. It was called a Robertsonian Translocation. That means one 13 chromosome and one 14 chromosome were attached. The man didn't have anything physically wrong with him, but his wife wasn't able to get pregnant (the reason they came in) so that is most likely why. Sad to find out, but at least now they know. I am back in the lab for this three day week. It has been a long time since I've been in there! Just as I am starting to feel comfortable reading cases, they take me away!
